Our co-ed preschool program is divided in to three developmentally appropriate phases based on age. Our youngest of athletes will attend the 2-3 year old class, which is a parent assisted class. As they become more independent, they will attend our 3-4 year old classes. Our 3 & 4 year olds will work on their fine & gross motor skills, social skills, and gymnastics skills! Finally, athletes will progress to our 4-5 year old classes where they will continue to work on their gymnastics skills as the prepare to move in to our school age recreational classes. Call or email to inquire about a free trial class. View our class schedule.
School Age Classes
Athletes ages 6+ are welcome to join our school age classes. These classes include instruction on all four Olympic events: vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. Our Beginning Girls class is perfect for those athletes who have never taken gymnastics before. Athletes will advance in to our Intermediate or Advanced Girls classes as their skill level increases. We also offer a Boys Only Tumbling class where they will have a chance to work on floor, trampoline, and tumble trak. Call or email to inquire about a free trial class. View our class schedule.
*If your athlete has prior gymnastics experience, please contact us for an evaluation for proper class placement.
Toddler Time is an open play time just for toddlers so that they can explore and learn at a self-directed pace, without the risk of any larger athletes obstructing their freedom. Toddler time is free for any children who are still crawling as their preferred method of travel. Toddlers who are walking are $6 per visit. This is a drop-in program, no need for a reservation! Drop-in Tumbling is an instructional class where athletes will work on their tumbling skills on floor exercise, trampoline, and tumble trak. This is a class that requires no reservation, just drop by the front desk and pay on each day that your child attends. View our class schedule.
GymTactics participates in both the Junior Olympic (JO) and Xcel programs offered by USAG, the largest governing body for gymnastics in the United States.
Our JO athletes train and compete levels 2-10 in a highly competitive program. Our athletes train between 6-24 hours a week and attend 4-10 competitions throughout the region each year. Our Xcel program competes in the Silver, Gold, and Platinum divisions. These athletes have more freedom in skill choices and train 6-9 hours per week. Xcel athletes compete in approximately 5 competitions within Michigan during the year with an option to attend out of state competitions. The coaching staff will determine which program fits your individual athlete’s needs.
